Beverly Hills is my favorite place so far in crappy California. It holds the greatest cupcake place ever to have been created: Sprinkles. It is divine. Adam and I went there for our one month anniversary (not the first time, as I am hoping to be a regular). His favorite is the Red Velvet, which is fantastic beyond description, and mine is the Chocolate Coconut.
Beverly Hills also offers The Chocolatier located across the street from Sprinkles. I didn’t buy anything there, because Sprinkles and that place that makes there own tortilla chips stole all of my money, but I sure as heck got a free sample. It was delicious. The lady behind the counter was a bit on the eccentric side, claiming her husband invented the chocolate dipped strawberry. Which just made me wonder “Can someone really claim that they invented something like that?” But she did. If you get a chance read the History tab on her website. I don’t mean to be rude, but it’s sort of silly. (And I took the picture below, but not the cupcake one)
